We are assisting a top tier main contractor company looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer in Dublin, Ireland. As a setting out engineer you will be responsible for setting out and surveying construction sites and ensuring that all work is carried out accurately and to specification.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Interpret construction plans and drawings and ensure that work is carried out to specification.

  • Set out and survey construction sites using total stations and other surveying equipment.

  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and guidelines.

  • Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all work is completed on time and to a high standard.

  • Provide technical advice and guidance to the construction team.

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts that arise during construction.

  • Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and workforce productivity. (Keeping a site diary)

  • Provide training and guidance to team members as required.

  • Attend site meetings and provide progress reports as required.

  • Maintain strong health and safety standards on-site. 

  • Perform site surveys to gather necessary data. 

  • Overseeing quality control.

Key Requirements will include:

  • 3-5 Years experience as Setting Out Engineer. 

  • Main contractor experience focusing on civils/infrastructure is an advantage. 

  • Familiarity with setting out equipment, including GPS, site engineer level, total station. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 

  • Excellent IT skills.
