Senior Project Manager

Our client is a leading international contractor specialising in the delivery of hyperscale and mission-critical data centre projects across Europe. With a strong reputation for delivering complex, fast-track engineering and construction projects, they provide full turnkey solutions from early-stage enabling works through to commissioning and handover.
Due to continued expansion across their European portfolio, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the fit-out package on a major data centre development in Finland.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the delivery of the internal fit-out works, ensuring all MEP integration, architectural finishes, raised floors, ceilings, specialist systems, and commissioning interfaces are executed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards expected in a mission-critical environment.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate closely with CSA, MEP, commissioning, and client teams to ensure seamless integration of all fit-out activities within a live and complex project environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead full delivery of the data centre fit-out package from construction through to commissioning and handover
• Manage all internal works including architectural finishes, raised floors, ceilings, doors, partitions, and specialist systems integration
• Coordinate closely with MEP and CSA teams to ensure seamless interface management
• Develop and manage detailed fit-out construction sequencing and logistics plans
• Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring safety, quality, and programme compliance
• Drive programme delivery, identifying risks and implementing recovery strategies where required
• Ensure strict adherence to quality assurance and commissioning readiness standards
• Manage stakeholder communication including client, consultants, and senior project leadership
• Lead site meetings, progress reporting, and performance tracking
• Ensure robust health & safety management and promote a strong safety culture
• Support commissioning strategy and integrated systems testing coordination
• Manage change control, variations, and commercial awareness in collaboration with QS/commercial teams
• Ensure full documentation and handover deliverables are achieved to client requirements

Key Requirements
• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager on large-scale construction projects
• Strong background delivering data centre fit-out packages or similar mission-critical environments
• Excellent understanding of internal finishes, MEP integration, and commissioning processes
• Experience managing complex subcontractor packages and fast-track programmes
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, logistics, and interface management
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure project environments
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Strong understanding of quality assurance and commissioning requirements
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
