Our client is a leading international contractor specialising in the delivery of hyperscale and mission-critical data centre projects across Europe. With a strong reputation for delivering complex, large-scale technical facilities, they provide full turnkey solutions from enabling works through to commissioning and handover.
Due to continued growth across their European data centre portfolio, they are seeking an experienced CSA Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a major data centre development in Amsterdam.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of all CSA packages, including groundworks, substructures, structural steel/concrete frames, and architectural fit-out elements. You will play a key role in cost control, procurement, subcontractor management, and commercial reporting across multiple high-value work packages.
The CSA Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project managers, engineers, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure all CSA works are commercially managed in line with budget, programme, and contract requirements.
• Manage all commercial aspects of CSA packages including enabling works, earthworks, concrete structures, steel frames, façades, and architectural finishes
• Prepare, review, and agree interim valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow across CSA works
• Support procurement of CSA subcontractors and suppliers
• Manage variations, change orders, and compensation events in accordance with contract requirements
• Conduct subcontractor negotiations and maintain commercial relationships
• Provide accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and financial updates to senior management
• Work closely with engineering and site teams to assess design changes and their commercial impact
• Support value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives across CSA scope
• Assist with risk management and contractual compliance
• Ensure alignment between commercial controls and project programme
• Support dispute resolution and management of contractual claims where required
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within CSA packages or major building construction projects
• Data centre or mission-critical project experience is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of civil, structural, and architectural works and sequencing
• Experience managing subcontractor packages and procurement processes
• Strong understanding of construction contracts (NEC, JCT, or FIDIC preferred)
• Excellent commercial awareness and cost control capability
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Strong reporting, forecasting, and project controls experience
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline
