Assistant Joinery Estimator – West Sussex We are working in partnership with one of the UK’s leading specialist joinery contractors, with a turnover exceeding £40 million. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Assistant Joinery Estimator to join their expanding team. The Role Key Responsibilities: Requirements • 1–3 years’ experience in estimating within joinery, drylining, or a relevant construction trade background Package • Salary negotiable (DOE)
Specialist Joinery Contractor | Permanent Role
You will support the estimating function, contributing to the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders across a range of projects.
• Cost Estimating & Analysis
Produce accurate and competitive cost estimates based on technical drawings and specifications.
• Client & Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to clarify project requirements and resolve technical queries.
• Tender Preparation & Take-Offs
Prepare and submit tenders and detailed take-offs, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Supply Chain Engagement
Source and negotiate competitive pricing with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of estimates, tender submissions, and client feedback.
• Ability to commute to London as required
• Ideally immediately available or on a short notice period (up to 1 month)
• Relevant construction background or qualification preferred
• Permanent position
