Our client is a leading Irish main contractor with a turnover of approximately €500m, delivering a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, education, public sector, and civil engineering projects across Ireland and the UK.
Due to continued growth within their residential division, they are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the delivery team on a major new build mixed-use development in Dublin. The scheme comprises a large-scale residential development including multiple apartment blocks and housing units, alongside associated commercial, retail, and community amenities, forming a key urban regeneration project.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, quality standards, and project specifications. You will manage multiple subcontractors and work fronts while supporting the Project Manager in delivering key milestones across a fast-paced construction programme.
• Manage day-to-day site operations across a large residential and mixed-use development
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors across multiple active work fronts
• Drive short-term planning, sequencing, and daily/weekly work schedules
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Monitor progress against programme and implement recovery actions where required
• Maintain strict compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Carry out regular site inspections and enforce quality control standards
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and commercial teams to resolve site issues
• Manage site logistics including deliveries, access, and material storage
• Ensure accurate site reporting including progress updates, diaries, and QA records
• Support snagging, de-snagging, and handover of residential units and commercial spaces
• Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and senior management as required
• Promote a strong site culture focused on safety, quality, and productivity
• Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale residential or mixed-use developments
• Strong background working with main contractors on multi-unit residential schemes
• Experience delivering apartment blocks and/or housing developments essential
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, and subcontractor coordination
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety legislation and site management practices
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and overlapping work packages
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with quality assurance, snagging, and handover processes
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and programme information
• Relevant construction qualification preferred (Engineering, Construction Management, or trades background with progression)
