Senior Estimator – (Facades)

Our client is an established package contractor active on a number of projects across Mainland Europe.

This organisation is currently delivering sizeable sub-contract packages including, concrete flooring, roofing, external envelope & partitioning, ceilings and general Interior fit-out packages, primarily on large-scale data centre & pharmaceutical schemes

Due to continued growth and expansion our client is now seeking an experienced Senior Estimator within their Facades Team , based at their Bedfordshire headquarters

This role will be working with the established Estimating & Pre-Construction team. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to respond effectively to client needs, developing professional relationships, whilst working efficiently alongside the design and sales departments.

This role is best suited to an individual who enjoys working within a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for attention to detail and quality of work.

Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ experience within a pre-construction environment, preparing and securing tender submissions.

Responsibilities to include:

• Understanding the client's needs and expectations.
• Reading drawings and complete details measurements for lump sum tenders. 
• Obtaining quotes for all scope requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers 
• Collating detailed price lists of all requirements on each tender. 
• Calculating the cost of materials, labour, and prelims for tendered scope. 
• Compiling tender submissions and issuing to potential clients within a timely manner.
• Presenting bids to clients and answering their mid and post tender queries. 
• Making use of relevant computer software such as Excel, Word, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Viewer.
• Keeping up to date with inflation, exchange rates and projected timescale costs.
• Attending meetings and site visits with potential clients.
• Liaising with others team members including construction managers, planners, and design teams to ensure tenders are compliant with client and main contractor requirements.
