We are partnered with a leading housing contractor known for their commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability searching for a seasoned Senior Engineer in the North East. As a Senior Engineer you will manage complex engineering projects, providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure successful project delivery involving overseeing the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Initiate the development of project plans, budgets and schedules with project teams and stakeholders.
Collaborate with the project manager, ensuring all the resources are available on site for productive development of the project.
Collaborate with the design team to verify that all the needed information is provided, understood, and ensure that the design is buildable.
Provide guidance and expertise to project teams on construction methods, materials, and processes.
Review the project programs including design, procurement, lead-in, and construction.
Supervision of project progress and identify potential issues and implement corrective solutions.
Conduct technical analysis, feasibility studies and risk assessment to inform project decision making.
Conduct setting out surveys to establish reference points, lines, and levels for construction projects.
Oversee the project activities ensuring compliance with design documents, safety regulations and quality standards.
Take part in weekly services engineering meetings providing project updates and issues on site.
Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication & collaboration.
Implement and maintain quality assurance by regularly inspecting the materials & methods are carried out according to industry standards and procedures.
Degree in civil engineering, construction engineering or related field.
Strong knowledge of CAD software and tools.
Notable experience in the construction industry working as Civil Engineer for a housing/residential developer.
CSCS and other relevant qualifications/training to the role is essential.
Attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
