Senior Engineer- Newcastle 

£70,000 + Package + Travel/Car Allowance 

We are partnered with a leading housing contractor known for their commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability searching for a seasoned Senior Engineer in the North East. As a Senior Engineer you will manage complex engineering projects, providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure successful project delivery involving overseeing the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

• Initiate the development of project plans, budgets and schedules with project teams and stakeholders.  

• Collaborate with the project manager, ensuring all the resources are available on site for productive development of the project.  

• Collaborate with the design team to verify that all the needed information is provided, understood, and ensure that the design is buildable.  

• Provide guidance and expertise to project teams on construction methods, materials, and processes.  

• Review the project programs including design, procurement, lead-in, and construction.  

• Supervision of project progress and identify potential issues and implement corrective solutions.  

• Conduct technical analysis, feasibility studies and risk assessment to inform project decision making.  

• Conduct setting out surveys to establish reference points, lines, and levels for construction projects.  

• Oversee the project activities ensuring compliance with design documents, safety regulations and quality standards.  

• Take part in weekly services engineering meetings providing project updates and issues on site.  

• Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication & collaboration.  

• Implement and maintain quality assurance by regularly inspecting the materials & methods are carried out according to industry standards and procedures.  

• Degree in civil engineering, construction engineering or related field. 

• Strong knowledge of CAD software and tools. 

• Notable experience in the construction industry working as Civil Engineer for a housing/residential developer. 

• CSCS and other relevant qualifications/training to the role is essential. 

• Attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
