Senior Electrical Project Manager

Our client is a leading international specialist MEP contractor delivering complex, large-scale engineering projects across Europe. With a strong reputation for technical expertise and high-quality project delivery, the company operates across heavy industrial, infrastructure, and process-driven sectors, including steel production and water treatment facilities.
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a €25m electrical package of works on a major water treatment plant scheme in Northern Sweden, forming part of a larger integrated steel plant development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of the electrical scope, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget, while meeting the highest quality and technical standards. Working closely with client representatives, design teams, site management, and subcontractors, the Senior Electrical Project Manager will play a key role in driving project execution from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover.
The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, engineering disciplines, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure all electrical works are executed in line with design intent, contractual requirements, and health & safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the delivery of a €25m electrical package on a major water treatment plant within a large steel manufacturing project in Northern Sweden
• Manage all electrical works including power distribution, MCCs, instrumentation interfaces, control systems, and associated infrastructure
• Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure programme, budget, and quality targets are achieved
• Manage site teams and subcontractors, ensuring performance, productivity, and compliance with project requirements
• Coordinate closely with design, engineering, and commissioning teams to ensure buildability and technical compliance
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress and identifying risks or delays
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across all electrical activities, particularly in remote and challenging site conditions
• Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
• Manage procurement, material tracking, and vendor coordination for key electrical equipment
• Lead technical resolution of site issues and ensure timely implementation of solutions
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and system handover activities
• Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts, and project performance updates
• Drive a strong site culture focused on safety, quality, and collaboration

Key Requirements
• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager or Senior Electrical Project Manager on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects
• Strong background in heavy industrial environments such as water treatment, steel plants, or process engineering facilities
• Experience delivering large electrical packages (€10m+ ideally €20m+)
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems
• Excellent leadership and subcontractor management skills
• Degree-qualified or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred
