Electrical Construction Manager

Our client is a leading international contractor delivering complex, large-scale data centre projects across Europe, providing full turnkey solutions from design through to construction and commissioning. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and high-quality project delivery, the company has become a trusted name within the mission-critical sector.
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to oversee electrical delivery on a major data centre development in Zurich.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing all electrical construction activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Electrical Construction Manager will play a key role in driving programme delivery, coordinating subcontractors, and managing interfaces across multiple electrical and multidisciplinary work packages throughout all phases of construction.
Working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives, the successful candidate will ensure all electrical works are executed in line with design intent, programme requirements, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage all electrical construction activities across the full project lifecycle
• Oversee installation works relating to HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, busbar, containment, lighting, and associated electrical infrastructure
• Coordinate electrical subcontractors and site teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
• Monitor construction progress against programme milestones and implement recovery actions where required
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with design specifications, drawings, and project standards
• Manage quality inspections, technical reviews, and compliance checks across all electrical packages
• Coordinate interfaces between electrical, mechanical, CSA, and commissioning teams throughout the construction programme
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues in collaboration with engineering and design teams
• Drive high standards of health & safety across all electrical site activities
• Attend and lead site meetings, progress reviews, and subcontractor coordination meetings
• Support construction planning, logistics coordination, and sequencing activities
• Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery
• Assist with testing, energisation, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities where required
• Ensure all project documentation, reporting, and site records are maintained accurately

Key Requirements
• Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager, Electrical Project Manager, or Building Services Manager on large-scale construction projects
• Previous experience delivering data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial, or large commercial projects is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of electrical building services systems and construction methodologies
• Experience managing HV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, and critical electrical infrastructure on complex projects
• Experience working within live or mission-critical environments is advantageous
• Degree-qualified or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
