Our client is a leading international contractor delivering complex, large-scale data centre projects across Europe, offering full turnkey solutions from design through to construction and commissioning. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and high-quality project delivery, the company has become a trusted name within the mission-critical sector.
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Project Planner to join the delivery team on a large-scale data centre project in Milan.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring detailed project programmes across all phases of construction, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and in line with client expectations. The Project Planner will play a key role in coordinating project schedules, analysing progress, identifying programme risks, and supporting the successful delivery of the project through to commissioning and handover.
The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure all planning and scheduling activities are executed in line with project objectives, programme requirements, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, manage, and maintain detailed construction programmes across all project phases
• Prepare short-term and long-term project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
• Monitor project progress against key milestones and programme deliverables
• Identify critical path activities, programme risks, and potential delays, implementing mitigation measures where required
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure accurate programme reporting and sequencing
• Support subcontractor coordination and monitor progress against agreed schedules
• Produce regular progress reports, programme updates, and planning analysis for internal and client review
• Assist with recovery planning, delay analysis, and extension of time submissions where necessary
• Attend project meetings and provide planning support to project stakeholders
• Ensure project programmes align with contractual requirements and client expectations
• Support pre-construction and tender planning activities as required
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, project controls processes, and industry best practice

Key Requirements
• Proven experience as a Project Planner on large-scale construction or engineering projects
• Previous experience within data centre or mission-critical environments is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project controls, and planning methodologies
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
• Experience managing complex project programmes across multiple work packages
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate programme risks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and international project teams
• Degree-qualified or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
