Senior Electrical Project Engineer - Data Centre - West London 

We're currently seeking an Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join a collaborative team working on a new Data Centre development in West London. As a leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation contractor, our client operates on projects spanning various sectors, including Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, Data Centre, and Petrochemical, across Ireland, Europe, and the UK. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Engineering Manager
  • Prepare and submit Technical Submittals for approval
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, sub-contractors, and specialist designers on product specification, validation, and value engineering
  • Assist in Project Engineering and Design Development
  • Coordinate with clients, other members of the design team, and contractors on technical and commercial matters
  • Contribute to Pre-Construction Engineering activities, including design development, construction details, technical submittals, and sub-contracts
  • Assist in services co-ordination exercises and resolve co-ordination issues
  • Provide technical support to the estimating, procurement, commercial, marketing, and construction teams

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years' previous experience in a similar role with knowledge in Telecoms, BMS, and EPMS
  • Understanding of LV Distribution, HV distribution, containment systems, lighting systems, lighting controls systems, and small power systems
  • Commissioning experience, including an understanding of the requirements for commissioning an EPMS/BMS System
  • Strong technical ability in all aspects of Electrical Engineering Services
  • Proactive with a strong ability to work independently
  • Knowledge and experience of current IS, BS, EN, and IEC Standards
  • Experience in client, vendor, and contractor interaction and management
  • Proficiency in Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite Software
  • Good knowledge and proficiency in using the Navisworks suite of tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
