Quantity Surveyor | Sweden | Major M&E Projects

An opportunity has opened for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take on a key commercial role within a fast-growing engineering firm delivering large-scale mechanical and electrical projects across Europe. Based in Sweden, this permanent position is ideal for someone looking to be part of complex, high-value builds in sectors such as data centres, life sciences, and advanced industrial.
 

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take ownership of cost control, subcontractor management, and reporting activities across multiple project stages. You’ll work closely with project leads to ensure commercial objectives are met while supporting procurement, estimating, and contract administration efforts.
 

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

  • Managing valuations, progress claims, and payment applications
  • Overseeing subcontractor accounts, reviewing variations, and settling final accounts
  • Preparing cost reports, forecasting project cash flows, and flagging commercial risks
  • Leading take-offs and cost planning from drawings, both manually and with digital tools
  • Conducting contract reviews (JCT/FIDIC) to support compliance and risk mitigation
  • Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to support procurement processes
  • Acting as a commercial liaison between internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders

Ideal Profile:

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • 3+ years’ experience in a commercial role, ideally with exposure to M&E contracting
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts and cost management principles
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured, analytical mindset
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
