Senior Quantity Surveyor – Construction Consultancy £65,000 - £85,000 + Package A growing construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team supporting projects across the Cambridge and East of England region. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional to take a leading role in delivering pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying services, working with developers, contractors, and private clients across a range of construction projects. The role will involve managing cost control, procurement strategies, and commercial performance across multiple projects while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Provide full pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying services
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
Location: Ely / Cambridge
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Employment: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies, and Bills of Quantities
• Provide procurement and contract advice
• Manage subcontractor procurement and tender processes
• Deliver cost management and commercial reporting
• Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Support project cashflow management and forecasting
• Prepare financial reports and CVR information
• Assist with dispute resolution and claims preparation
• Attend client and project meetings representing the consultancy
• Support the continued growth and development of the business
Requirements
• Experience working in construction consultancy or contractor environments
• Strong understanding of pre-contract and post-contract services
• Excellent commercial awareness and contract knowledge
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• RICS membership desirable
