Senior Quantity Surveyor – Cut & Carve – Central London We are currently partnering with a long established, lead Main Contractor with a track record of successful project delivery spanning over 100 years. They have recently won a £50,000,000 project working on a Hotel Cut and Carve in Central London. Due to this they are now actively seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team. Take full commercial responsibility for a £50m hotel redevelopment, managing all cost control activities across demolition, structural alterations, and refurbishment works, ensuring delivery aligns with budget, programme, and targeted margins.
• Procurement Strategy & Package Management
Lead the procurement of key trade packages including structural, MEP, and high-end fit-out elements, preparing tender documentation, driving competitive tender processes, and negotiating robust subcontract agreements to secure best value.
• Cost Reporting, CVR & Financial Forecasting
Own the production of monthly CVR reports, cost-to-complete forecasts, and cash flow projections, providing clear and accurate financial reporting to senior leadership while identifying risks, variances, and opportunities.
• Contract Administration & Risk Management
Administer contracts in line with JCT conditions, managing variations, change control, and claims, while proactively identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks associated with complex structural interventions in a live urban environment.
• Commercial Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead and mentor junior commercial staff, working closely with project directors, design teams, and site operations to drive commercial performance, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure successful project delivery through to final account.
Must have 6+ years’ experience in a similar role on high value cut and carve projects
Must be based within a commutable distance of Central London
