Electrical Engineer – Data Centres – Amsterdam

Our client is a €2bn turnover, Tier:1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects

Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre projects division, our client is now seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Amsterdam. 

Responsibilities

Electrical Engineering Delivery Support
Support the delivery of electrical systems including HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, containment, earthing, and lighting, ensuring works are installed in line with project specifications, programme requirements, and data centre standards.
Design Coordination & Technical Input
Work closely with design consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to review drawings, raise RFIs, and assist in resolving technical issues, contributing to well-coordinated and buildable electrical solutions.
Site Supervision & Quality Control
Monitor electrical installation works on site, carrying out inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, and relevant European regulations, supporting a high standard of quality across the project.
Testing, Commissioning & Energisation Support
Assist with pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including system checks and functional testing, supporting the preparation for energisation and integrated systems testing (IST).
Documentation & Project Reporting
Maintain accurate records including inspections, test results, and as-built documentation, supporting the preparation of handover information and providing regular updates to the senior engineering and project teams.

Requirements

Must have relevant electrical engineering degree or similar qualifications 
Must have 6+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Netherlands

Benefits

€70,000 - €80,000 per annum + Rotation + Accommodation + Flights + Travel + Overseas Allowance
