Mechanical Design Engineer – Data Centres – Dublin We are currently partnering with a multidisciplinary consultancy with a global record of successful delivery on a range of projects including, but not limited to, Data Centres, Recladding, Medical Projects, Nursing homes, Clinics and many more. Due to continuous growth, they are now seeking a well experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead Data Centre construction projects from Dublin, Ireland. Responsibilities • Mechanical Design Leadership Requirements Must have relevant degree level qualification Benefits €100,000 - €120,000 + Hybrid working
Lead the mechanical design delivery for data centre projects, ensuring HVAC, cooling, ventilation and mechanical systems meet performance, resilience and efficiency requirements.
• Design Management & Coordination
Manage and coordinate mechanical design outputs across all RIBA stages, working closely with electrical, structural and architectural teams to ensure fully integrated solutions.
• Technical Assurance & Compliance
Review and approve mechanical designs, calculations and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, client technical requirements and industry best practice.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary mechanical point of contact for clients, data centre operators and wider consultant teams, providing technical guidance and supporting design decisions.
• Innovation, Efficiency & Sustainability
Drive innovative and energy-efficient design solutions, including low-carbon cooling strategies, heat recovery and optimisation of PUE to support sustainable data centre outcomes.
Must have 6+ years’ in a similar position ideally working on Data Centre construction projects
Must be based within a commutable distance of Dublin
