Our client is a well-established international contractor delivering large-scale construction projects across Europe. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and project delivery, the company operates across a diverse portfolio including commercial developments, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, and mission-critical data centre facilities.
Due to continued expansion within the data centre sector, our client is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join the delivery team on a major data centre project in Finland.
The successful candidate will take a leadership role in implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management systems on site. Working closely with project management, senior leadership, and subcontractors, the Senior HSE Advisor will ensure all construction activities are carried out safely, sustainably, and in compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee HSE management systems across the project, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and client expectations
• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE procedures, policies, and risk management strategies for complex construction activities
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, proactively identifying hazards and recommending mitigation measures
• Lead the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Deliver and support site inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and environmental awareness sessions
• Promote a proactive HSE culture across site teams, subcontractors, and all stakeholders
• Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, KPIs, and compliance to project management and senior leadership
• Advise project management on risk mitigation, regulatory requirements, and best practice
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure safe and environmentally responsible sequencing of works
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site safety, environmental performance, and sustainability standards

Requirements
• Degree or professional qualification in Health, Safety, Environmental, or related discipline
• Extensive experience in construction HSE leadership, ideally in large-scale or mission-critical projects
• Strong knowledge of local and international HSE legislation, standards, and best practice
• Proven experience conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and provide strategic HSE guidance to project teams
• Willingness to work on an international construction project in Finland
