Our client is a leading international engineering & construction main contractor specialising in large-scale data centre developments across Europe. Operating on a full turnkey basis, the company manages projects from early design and civil works through to M&E installation, commissioning, and final handover. With a strong pipeline of hyperscale projects and consistent growth, they are recognised for delivering complex, mission-critical facilities to the highest standards.
They are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for a major data centre project in Frankfurt.
In this role, you will lead the commercial management of multiple work packages, overseeing cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management from early procurement through to final account. You will work closely with the project management, design, and site teams to ensure accurate financial tracking, proactive risk management, and commercial compliance across the project.
• Lead the commercial management of key work packages across the project
• Prepare, monitor, and report on budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
• Manage procurement and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers
• Value and certify subcontractor applications and progress payments
• Manage variations, change control, and contractual correspondence
• Produce monthly commercial reports and updates for senior management
• Identify, mitigate, and manage commercial risks and opportunities
• Support final account negotiations with clients and subcontractors
• Liaise closely with site, design, and commissioning teams to ensure cost-effective delivery
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, costs, and project progress
• 5+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably on data centre, M&E, or civils projects
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures (JCT or FIDIC)
• Proven experience managing high-value, complex projects
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
