Data Centre Construction – Frankfurt, Germany
Our client is a leading international engineering & construction main contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects across Northern and Central Europe. Operating on a full turnkey basis, they manage projects from early-stage design and civil works through to M&E installation, commissioning, and final handover. With a strong pipeline of hyperscale developments and consistent growth, they are recognised for delivering complex, mission-critical facilities.
Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a major data centre project in Frankfurt.
Working as part of a high-performing commercial team, you will support the financial and contractual management of the project, assisting in cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management across various work packages. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a large-scale, technically complex development within a fast-paced data centre environment.
• Assist in the commercial management of project packages from procurement through to final account
• Support the preparation of budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts
• Assist in subcontractor procurement, including tender analysis and package awards
• Review and process subcontractor applications and payments
• Support the management of variations, change control, and contractual documentation
• Monitor project costs and provide regular reports to senior commercial staff
• Assist in preparing monthly valuations and commercial reports
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, costs, and project progress
• Liaise with site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective delivery
• Identify potential commercial risks and assist in mitigation strategies
• 2–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction
• Experience on large-scale projects (data centres or similar is advantageous)
• Strong understanding of commercial processes and construction contracts
• Good analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
