Our client is a well-established international contractor delivering large-scale construction projects across Europe. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and project delivery, the company operates across a diverse portfolio including commercial developments, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, and mission-critical data centre facilities.

Due to continued expansion within the data centre sector, our client is seeking a Junior Health & Safety Advisor to join the delivery team on a major data centre project in Finland.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated safety professional to develop their career on a large-scale, technically complex construction project. Working alongside senior health & safety personnel and project management teams, the Junior Health & Safety Advisor will support the implementation and monitoring of health and safety procedures across all site activities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of health & safety procedures across the project site
• Support the delivery of a strong safety culture across all construction activities
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits, identifying potential hazards and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
• Assist in carrying out risk assessments and reviewing method statements
• Participate in and help deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
• Monitor compliance with company health & safety policies and local regulatory requirements
• Record and report incidents, near misses, and safety observations, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken
• Work closely with site management and subcontractors to ensure safe working practices are consistently maintained
• Maintain accurate health & safety documentation and reports
• Support senior health & safety personnel in driving continuous improvement across site safety performance

Requirements
• Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline
• Previous experience in a construction or engineering environment (placement or graduate experience considered)
• Strong understanding of health & safety principles and regulations
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Proactive approach with a strong commitment to maintaining safe working environments
• Willingness to work on an international construction project in Finland
