QAQC Manager (Mechanical) - Data Centre - Netherlands
 
The chosen candidate will hold accountability for executing the mechanical aspects of a significant, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Directly reporting to the Operations Director, this role entails direct client interaction and entails overarching responsibility for construction, safety & welfare, quality assurance, program adherence, contracts management, and commercial aspects. The Project Director will oversee the Project Team and is expected to cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possession of academic and/or trades qualifications in the mechanical discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Mechanical Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) experience in Industrial-type projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Given the client-facing nature of the role, effective communication skills and strong presentation abilities are indispensable. Demonstrated capability to articulate specification requirements and validate compliance is essential.
  • Preferable experience in industrial and process projects.
  • Proficiency and experience in piping and HVAC systems are necessary.
  • Weld inspection qualifications are mandatory, along with familiarity with EN standards.
  • Responsibilities encompass QAQC walkdowns, inspection, and documentation associated with Equipment; Piping systems (carbon steel); HVAC ducting systems; Plumbing & drainage systems; Preparation of test packs; witnessing of pressure testing; Maintaining and presenting weld information & records; Weekly reporting on QAQC performance; troubleshooting; preparation of punch lists; punch clearance verification.
  • The candidate will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and construction team to ensure the achievement of quality standards with minimal discrepancies.
