Our client, a premier Engineering contractor known for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors operating across Ireland, Europe and the UK is urgently looking for a seasoned Mechanical Site Manager. As a Mechanical Site Manager, you are responsible for managing the mechanical aspects of construction projects on-site including coordinating with various teams, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within the budget.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Manage site activities giving attention to site safety and project quality.
Assist the Project Manager in developing detailed work plans, schedules & milestones to ensure project objectives are met.
Monitoring of progress, adjusting as necessary to keep the project in line.
Supervise and manage a team of mechanical installers, subcontractors, and site supervisors, assigning tasks and responsibilities to ensure that all team members are clear on their roles.
Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the discussion of project progress, addressing issues, and plan upcoming tasks.
Emphasize health & safety policies in site & procedures, conduct regular safety inspection, risk assessment, and provide training as needed.
Carry out regular inspections of work in progress and completed work to ensure quality control, BCAR co-ordination and address any quality issues promptly and effectively.
Collaborate with project teams to communicate status, changes & issues to relevant parties.
Maintain updated project documentations, progress reports and safety records ready for review or submission to senior management.
Degree/qualification in Construction Management or related field.
5+ years’ experience as a Site Manager within large-scale contracts.
Proven accomplishments in managing Mechanical design & build projects over €5 million contracts ideally in commercial, pharmaceutical, industrial, or data centre contracts.
IOSH/NEBOSH certification is an advantage but not essential.
Commercial awareness is beneficial.
Strong understanding of updated building regulations and certification standards.
Strong knowledge of project execution in the construction industry.
Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
