€70,000-85,000 DOE + Car Allowance + Package

We are assisting an established and rapidly growing engineering services contractor in their search for a dedicated Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to be working in the company's projects in Cork Region. The company is focused in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection division and also offers additional top notch services that includes Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying. Please see below for the full job details.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements will include:

  • Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and board of directors any relevant information related to the Mechanical QS tasks. 

  • Relevant third level qualification is essential such as Quantity Surveying / Engineering.

  • Experience working within the Life Sciences sector would be advantageous.

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience post qualification in a Mechanical contracting environment.

  • Strong technical ability and understanding Mechanical services essential.

  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.

  • Excellent Analytical & IT Skills are essential.

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills is essential.

  • Experience in management of suppliers and sub-contractors.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under strict deadlines is essential.

  • Good understanding of construction contracts & methods of measurement.

  • Facility to gain chartership status available in-house.
