Mechanical Construction Manager - Sweden - Data Centre
As a Mechanical Construction Manager you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to fruition. Your responsibilities will involve conducting thorough project assessments to establish timelines and cost estimates, while ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards both on and off-site. Collaborating closely with a diverse team of engineers and industry professionals, you will drive the successful completion of innovative projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess project requirements to determine scheduling needs, assist in developing project schedules, provide 12-week lookahead reports, monitor on-site progress, and anticipate and address future obstacles or challenges in consultation with the Main Contractor/Companies contracts manager.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the site, reporting findings to the site supervisor for resolution.
- Perform routine quality inspections of the site, documenting observations and reporting to the site supervisor for resolution.
- Take the lead in commissioning activities, ensuring timely completion, reporting any impediments, and following up to ensure swift resolution.
Skills and Requirements:
- Essential background in mechanical trade or engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in construction project management.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly in MS Office/Excel.
- Familiarity with database systems like FileMaker would be advantageous.
