We are partnered with a leading contractor with operations across the Nordic regions delivering world class projects across a variety of sectors looking for experienced HSE Managers up to Regional / Country Lead roles. As HSE Manager/Officers you will be developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure robust environment, health, & safety measures on site, ensuring a secure working environment, leading the team in achieving safety goals & objectives.   

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

  • Lead the development of HSE Leadership & Culture in the workplace. 

  • Implement HSE and wellbeing policy in the organisation. 

  • Ensure full compliance with local and national HSEQ legislation pertaining to the project construction phase and offices. 

  • Develop project-specific health & safety strategies, programmes and plans in partnership with Group HSEQ. 

  • Coordinate HSE programme elements addressing site access, security, project induction, first aid, welfare, and emergency arrangements. 

  • Coordinate and manage on-site HSE resources. 

  • Communicate and co-ordinate the adoption of industry best practices in health, safety & environment on all projects. 

  • Establish a process of active HSE monitoring through audits and inspections of site conditions and contractor activities. 

  • Monitor and report on HSE performance and challenges using predefined leading and lagging health and safety performance indicators. 

  • Influence employee work practices through dialogue, relationship building and behavioural safety coaching. 

  • Support projects throughout their lifecycle from proposal, through design, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, handover, and operational stages. 

  • Provide specialist health, safety & environment, and wellbeing advice to management and project teams. 

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with respect to latest occupational safety, health and welfare requirements for the business unit. 

  • Ensure appropriate and effective emergency response, case management, incident investigation and reporting mechanisms are in place to facilitate learning from incidents (LFI). 

  • 5+ years' experience in HSE Management. 

  • Degree in Health and Safety Management or related field. 

  • NEBOSH qualification. 

  • Member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or equivalent qualification would be an advantage. 

  • Knowledgeable in updated HSE regulations, standards & best practices. 

  • Proven verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Proficiency in HSE software & tools.
