We are assisting an established and rapidly growing contractor specialising in Clean room constructions in their search for a dedicated Senior Quantity Surveyor to be working in the company's projects in North East England. As A Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all quantity surveying functions throughout the project lifecycle. You will manage project costs, contracts, procurement, and change control processes to ensure optimal financial outcomes. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you are expected to collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to deliver projects within budget and in compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

  • Oversee cost planning and management for projects, including estimating, budgeting, and cost control measures.

  • Ensure the effective delivery of all commercial requirements for the project.

  • Provide accurate and informed reporting on the project's commercial performance.

  • Manage the preparation and evaluation of subcontract packages, contributing to interim and final valuations.

  • Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including contract conditions, bills of quantities, and subcontractor packages.

  • Implement effective change control processes, assessing and documenting changes to contracts and ensuring they are properly approved and managed.

  • Prepare regular cost reports, providing project managers and stakeholders with insights into cost performance.

  • Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.

  • 7+ years of Quantity Surveying experience.

  • Main contractor experience is an advantage.

  • Experience of working with MEP packages.
