Quantity Surveyor - Data Centre - Netherlands
Due to ongoing expansion in our client Data Centre division, we are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a background in Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) disciplines to join our delivery team for an upcoming project in the Netherlands. This project holds significant importance in a region poised for further growth, presenting an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to advance their career with guidance and support from our senior commercial team members.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Construction Team on all Quantity Surveying functions, including but not limited to:
- Ensuring compliance with contract obligations and advising and monitoring the construction team accordingly.
- Identifying potential commercial risks and promptly reporting them to management.
- Compiling accurate monthly progress applications, inclusive of remeasurements, site variations, day-works, or claims.
- Conducting operational procurement activities and offering contract support in collaboration with the Procurement Department.
- Managing subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations, and final account.
- Forecasting and managing turnover and cash flow for the projects.
- Reviewing and commercially managing all projects to ensure precise and reliable reporting.
- Identifying, analyzing, and reporting on trends within the Business & Projects.
- Reviewing all incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Team, or subcontractors to identify contractually critical items and initiating replies.
- Ensuring adherence to all contractual requirements by the Construction Team and providing advice and monitoring accordingly.
- Fulfilling all other duties associated with this role.
Skills/Requirements:
- Essential third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
- Previous experience in Data Centre projects is preferable but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 6+ years' post-qualification experience is essential.
- Experience in a Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) role is required.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent IT skills.
