Location: Germany Salary: £75k - £80k

Our client is an established Internal Package provider with a busy pipeline for 2021 / 2022.

 

The Package Manager has responsibility to ensure the practical implementation of the Construction Phase Plan, Construction Execution Plan & ensure the Material/installation specifications/ Contract scope of work is adhered to & schedule is respected. The ideal candidate will come from a dry lining, suspended ceilings and raised floorings.

 

  • Ensure that the work by Contractors under their control is undertaken in a way that addresses and eliminates personnel and environmental hazards, and ensure that risk analysis, COSHH risk assessments, and work method statements, where required, are in place.
  • Monitor Safe Plan of Actions to ensure contractors have appropriate control measures in place to carry out their work safely, and that they identify risks and implement appropriate control measures during construction.
  • Actively encourage Contractors to perform their work in a safe manner.
  • Participate in the investigation and reporting of any incidents that require such action.
  • Ensure that persons carrying out their duties are fully aware of all risks associated with the task and are following the agreed work method statements.
  • Participate in the SOR Program.
  • Monitor and participate in weekly toolbox talks.
  • Promote a ZERO Harm Performance & Culture
  • Establish and maintain effective communications and coordination between PM, CM, Contractors and the Client.
  • Review Design looking for efficient use of material & installation technics ensuring the translation to the site scope at all phases of the project.
  • Ensure Change control in the field is recorded, logged & communicated prior to approval to proceed.
  • Maintain a master set of drawings & specifications for the contract.
  • Ensure the contractor adheres to the Quality Plans & ITPs „h Ensure the contractors executes the contract to a quality level set out in the specifications & demonstrate this through audits, frequent reports & other recorded means
  • Ensure the Contractor is executing the contracts in line with the terms & contracts set out
  • Monitor closely the Contractor performance against the 4 week look ahead & the baseline schedule, mitigating slippages, communicating/informing at all times to the CM/FM
  • Provide contractors with scheduled completion target details to enable efficient planning of fabrication, erection and testing activities. Together with the contractors planning engineers, develop detailed daily and weekly work plans to facilitate project schedule completions.
  • Constant Monitoring and Reviewing the Design highlighting, logging & implementing value Engineering & installation.
  • Ensure proper control of changes by issuing Site Work Instructions (SWIs) for all changes, reviewing Technical Queries/Request For Information/concessions, Material acceptance Forms (TQs/RFIs/MAF) to ensure responses are appropriate and practical, and reviewing revision notices prior to issue to contractors to ensure correct use of construction resources.
  • Manage the discipline punch list, system turnover & documentation handover ensuring the contractor adheres to the agreed deliverables
  • Ensure Discipline Supervisors are monitoring their Contractors performance.
  • Organise, Chair & record the weekly contractors meetings.
  • Organise, coordinate the investigation of any accident/incident/near miss as necessary, and ensure that remedial actions have been agreed and carried out.
  • Monitor the Construction Phase & Execution Plan objectives and periodically report to the Project Manager/ Construction Manager on performance.
  • The Company's safe working procedures and safe working practices are fully understood and that such procedures and practices are being effectively applied.
  • Conduct training sessions and discuss circulars with the field supervision on matters such as performance, legislation and other matters.
  • Review and comment on safe working method statements/risk assessments/SPAs/lift plans
  • Immediately stop any unsafe work practices which are likely to cause accidents or are injurious to health or are non-compliant with national regulations, and advise CM/ FM immediately.
