We are assisting a leading Data Centre solutions provider operating across Europe involved in a variety of sectors in their search for an experienced Logistics Manager. As Logistics Manager you will oversee the entire logistics process, ensuring efficient and effective coordination of the supply chain to meet the organisation's operational requirements that involves planning, implementing, and controlling the flow of goods, services, and information from point of origin to point of consumption. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

  • Develop, optimise, and implement logistics strategies & processes to ensure timely delivery of goods, services, improve efficiency and accessibility or resources. 

  • Coordinate and manage the transportation, storage, and distribution of materials and products. 

  • Work closely with subcontractors to ensure they are aware of designated delivery locations from off-site storage facilities to the site safely, following all provided instructions. 

  • Participate in meetings with subcontractors to ensure they fully understand on-site challenges, storage space limitations, and delivery booking procedures through the Datascope system. 

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of materials and storage. 

  • Ensure all loading and unloading of work-related vehicles occurs within the designated compound to prevent delays. 

  • Supervise operatives to ensure adherence to health & safety standards and work ethics. 

  • Track key performance indicators to measure logistics performance and present regular reports on logistics activities  

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent. 

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role within construction. 

  • Strong knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management, and inventory control. 

  • Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation abilities. 

  • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software and tools. 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
