We are assisting an established and rapidly growing engineering services contractor in their search for a dedicated Electrical Junior Planner to be working in the company's projects in Cork, Ireland. The company is focused in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection division and also offers additional top notch services that includes Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying. Key Responsibilities:
Producing construction schedules for agreement with clients in conjunction with the Project Manager.
Fully resource/cost loaded schedule.
Responsibly maintain the construction schedule.
Track planned in comparison to actual progress.
Working with construction team members to capture and log any issues affecting progress.
Attending site meetings (internal and client based).
Monitoring original compared to actual budgets for scope growth/changes.
Use of an internal database project control system.
Ensuring all progress is captured and updated in the system.
Monitoring fabrication shops and site installation outputs.
Use of database reporting system for circulation of information to project team.
Take lead in production/coordination in issuing weekly construction reports.
Key Skills and Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience (ideally in a M&E contracting environment).
Relevant 3rd level qualification.
Experience in Primavera P6 software is required.
Willingness to visit/support other project locations if needed.
Excellent IT skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
