We are assisting an established and rapidly growing engineering services contractor in their search for a dedicated Site Mechanical Quality Lead to be working in the company's projects in Limerick, Ireland. The company is focused in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection division and also offers additional top notch services that includes Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying.  As a Site Mechanical Quality Lead you are to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance for mechanical installations in our projects. The ideal Site Mechanical Quality Lead is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control process, conducting inspections & implementing corrective actions to make sure that the mechanical systems meet the project requirements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Lead and implement a comprehensive quality assurance plan for mechanical installations on construction sites.

  • Develop quality control procedures and inspections for mechanical systems considering the project specifications and industry standards.

  • Carry out inspections and audits of mechanical installations to verify compliance with design drawings, specifications and standards.

  • Conduct visual inspection, functional tests and quality control checks on HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems to identify errors & faults.

  • Carry out corrective actions to address errors & faults during inspections, ensuring timely resolutions.

  • Team up with the subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders to resolve quality related issues and implement preventive solutions.

  • Degree in Mechanical/ Quality qualifications.

  • 5+ years’ experience in thesame role.

  • Knowledgeable in hygienic piping installation and ASME codes and standards.

  • Good understanding of Pharmaceutical Piping Systems and associated P&IDs is essential.

  • Minimum of CSWIP 3.1 European Welding Inspection Qualification is essential. 

  • Background in orbital welding equipment and weld procedures is beneficial.

  • Strong knowledge in quality assurance systems, practices and regulations.

  • Proficiency in quality assurance softwares and tools.

  • Excellent organisation, communication and problem solving skills.
