Mechanical Lead / M&E Project Manager – Poland

Our client is an established engineering & construction main contractor undertaking technology, pharmaceutical and data centre projects across Ireland and throughout Europe. This growing main contractor offers a full ‘turnkey’ construction service delivering schemes from groundworks stage, CSA works, through M&E installation, fit out, commissioning to client handover
The need now exists for a mechanically biased Snr M&E Project Manager reporting to the Project Director, to manage a datacentre project based in Poland. You will be suitably qualified with at least 6 years’ experience at a senior level heading projects from the post tender, pre-construction stage to handover and delivery. Previous experience of working on Datacentre projects and experience of working in Europe will be advantageous. Responsibilities will include validating project and formulating cost control system, billing schedules, etc. You will also produce procurement plan, construction programme, and ensure that the projects team are appraised of the project requirement.
As a lead Project Manager, you will be responsible for the effective day to day running of site activities, ensuring the delivery of the project within the given constraints of time and cost. You will attend meetings with client, progress meetings with sub-contractors whilst managing and coordinating installation of the project. You will be responsible for managing labour and subcontractors and ensuring compliance for installation in accordance with the projects specification and contract documentation, with all relevant technical aspects within industry standards and local authorities requirements where applicable in addition to the ensuring compliance with health, safety and welfare obligations.
You will also oversee testing and commissioning in accordance with the Quality Plan and projects specific requirements and be responsible for issuing O&M manual format’s for approval prior to final submission. You will also get involved with the preparation of final accounts with the QS, submit and agree with client in line with company objective.
