Location: Bromley Salary: C55,000

LJB are working with a mid-size contractor, with over 20-years working with the public sector. Our client specialises in mixed-use new build & Refurb schemes from 15 to 150 homes. Across London, South East & Kent (South)

Role expectations 

Requirement for an degree qualified Quantity Surveyor to work alongside a helpful, friendly & experienced commercial team. Looking after prestigious and high-end social housing new build and regeneration projects. 

·Price/forecast the cost of the different materials and/ or sub-contract trade packages needed for the project.

·Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.

·Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.

·Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project.

·Measure and value the work done on site.

·Pay subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.

·Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers.

·Select and/or source construction materials & write reports.

Required Experience & Qualifications 

·Main Contracting/Residential Developer (current/previous)

·Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) in quantity surveying Ideal not essential. 

·Strong ability to negotiate, Strong Numeracy, good working knowledge of MS Excel/ Word and the ability to learn how to use specialist software, Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, The ability to work in a team, methodical work approach, attention to detail.
