Our client, a leading M&E contractor dedicated to innovation and excellence, delivering high-quality projects that exceed client expectations, is now looking for an experienced Project EHS Lead in Dublin. As a Project EHS Lead you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective environment, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements and promote a culture of safety within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Lead the development of Environment, Health & Safety Leadership & Culture in the workplace.
Ensure full compliance with local and national EHS legislation pertaining to the project construction phase and offices.
Develop project-specific EHS strategies, programs and plans ensuring the standard operating procedures are maintained.
Monitor and report on environment, health and safety performance and challenges using predefined leading and lagging EHS performance indicators.
Coordinate health and safety program elements addressing site access, security, project induction, first aid, welfare, and emergency arrangements.
Ensure appropriate and effective emergency response, case management, incident investigation and reporting mechanisms are in place to facilitate learning from incidents (LFI).
Lead and support EHS workers ensuring that EHS initiatives are effectively shared and implemented in the organization.
Participate in daily activity briefings and whiteboard meetings including chairing the safety meetings with subcontractors.
Level 7 EHS qualification is essential to this role.
8+ years' experience in EHS Lead role in the pharmaceutical sector is essential.
Mechanical background would be beneficial.
Proficiency in EHS software and tools.
Knowledge of updated EHS regulations & standards.
Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
