Our Client a busy Irish contractor are currently seeking an experienced M&E (mechanically biased) Construction Manager to work on a large data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working on mixed use sectors within M&E on UK construction sites and preferably be degree qualified. Previous data centre experience is not mandatory. The desired candidate will come from a stable background.
Responsibilities will include post-tender pre-site related activities, coordinating project handover from the estimating department to construction team, organising and resourcing team whilst validating cost control system, cash flow and billable schedules, etc. You will also be responsible for producing procurement plan, construction programme, including liaising with client and design team on procurement and engineering issues. On-site responsibilities include managing the site on a daily basis to ensure delivery of the project in compliance with programme, materials deliveries, and engineering, quality and contract requirements. You will also attend client and sub-contractor in conjunction to measure and maintain project progress control. You will ensure compliance with all relevant technical aspects within construction industry standards and local authorities’ requirements if applicable and oversee installation in accordance with the projects specification and contract documentation and monitor & maintain site EHS requirements. You will also be responsible to ensure testing and commissioning is carried out in accordance with the Quality Plan and projects specific requirements, issuing O&M manual format’s for approval prior to final submission. Additional responsibilities will include preparing final account with the QS, submit and production of project close-out report.
