Senior Project Manager / Project Lead (Data Centres)
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager with Contractor data centre experience to join a client focused team on site in Finland to help develop and drive our Data Centre capability, working on high profile projects throughout Europe
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to take responsibility for providing all services relating to project management on a data centre project.
To lead and oversee the successful delivery of the Data Centre project (in conjunction with the support Project Management partners) with a view to securing repeat business.
To participate in Business Development activities where required.
To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances
To carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures
Comply with established procurement/commercial/contractual strategies
Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
Solid experience in delivering mission critical projects as either a main contractor, consultant or client-side Project Manager
Experience in delivering data centre projects as the lead Project Manager
Experience managing data centre projects from conception through to completion
(RIBA stage 3-6)
A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
Proven track record on leading Data Centre construction projects as a Project Manager to time, cost and quality.
MRICS/CIOB or membership of other relevant professional body
Line manager experience
As a Senior Project Manager, you support large-scale, ground-up data centre construction projects with our prominent technology clients across Europe.
The role will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery, from inception through to commissioning.
Project Management, to include:
Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team.
Monitoring and applying performance management techniques, including the use of KPI’s to improve project performance.
Monitoring project finances.
Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports; and taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
Internal management accountabilities, to include:
Process improvement – Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
Health and Safety:
Observe safety regulations.
Conform to local and national laws and guidelines.
Depending upon context, a senior is likely to report to an Associate Director or Director
