Our client is a leading engineering company services primarily involved in life sciences, data centres and pharmaceutical schemes with core divisions that includes Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection. The company also offers exceptional services in Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying.

The need now exists for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join the team in Cork, Ireland. As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will assume a crucial role in our project development and execution processes, reporting directly to the Projects Manager on all facets of daily site operations. Working closely with the Planning Manager and Project Manager, alongside a diverse team of engineers and industry professionals, you will contribute to the delivery of innovative projects. 

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all site operations are carried out in strict compliance with company HSQE requirements and standards.

  • Daily management, supervision, and reporting, of direct labour resources, plant, safe execution of works and materials allocations.

  • Manage and coordinate sub-contractors on site.

  • Post construction survey and compilation of accurate information to prepare As-Built records

  • Carry out company compliance and administration procedures and recording performance and progress of site operations and subcontractors.

  • Review of work packages to ensure all necessary information & permits are in place to execute the works safely and efficiently. 

Key Skills and Requirements: 

  • 2 years’ experience in a site lead role working in a Commercial / Pharma / Life Science with a strong emphasis on Safety and Quality.

  • Minimum Level 6 of the QQI Certificate in Mechanical Craft Practice or equivalent.

  • Demonstrable a high level of technical knowledge with practical application.

  • Excellent IT skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
