HSE Manager – Data Centre – Frankfurt

We are currently partnered with a large MEP Subcontractor with presence across the UK and Europe. They have recently acquired a €50m MEP Package of works on a Data Centre construction project in Frankfurt. Due to this they are now actively seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join the team.

Responsibilities

Site Safety Leadership & Compliance:
Lead all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities across the €50M MEP package, ensuring full compliance with local regulations, company policies, and international best practices throughout the lifecycle of the data centre project.
Risk Assessment & Control Measures:
Conduct detailed site risk assessments and method statement reviews (RAMS), implementing effective control measures and ensuring that all high-risk activities—such as electrical works and confined space operations—are safely managed.
Training, Induction & Safety Culture:
Deliver comprehensive site inductions and ongoing training for all staff, subcontractors, and visitors. Promote a proactive safety culture through toolbox talks, behavioural safety initiatives, and consistent HSE engagement across the workforce.
Incident Management & Reporting:
Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, ensuring lessons learnt are communicated and corrective actions are implemented swiftly. Maintain accurate records and produce weekly and monthly HSE reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Audits, Inspections & Continuous Improvement:
Plan and conduct regular HSE audits and inspections of all MEP works, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and maintain a zero-harm environment.

Requirements

Must be NEBOSH certified
Must have 5+ years’ experience on Data Centres or similar large-scale construction projects
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Germany

Benefits

€80,000 - €100,000 + Full Rotational Package
