Our client is a Specialist Contractor with a turnover of £80 million and is looking to hire an experienced & detail- oriented Dry Lining Estimator in their projects in London. As a Dry Lining Estimator, you will collaborate closely with the Planning Manager, Project Manager, and a diverse team of engineers and industry specialists to contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge projects. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Present accurate cost estimates & budgets on project drawings, specifications & other important considerations.

  • Verify project specifications, drawings & other documents to understand the scope of work, materials required & project constraints related to dry lining.

  • Carry out site visits & inspections as needed to gather information & assess project conditions.

  • Help in tendering and procurement process for dry lining systems, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids & negotiating contracts with suppliers & subcontractors.

  • Verify and keep track on dry lining project costs throughout the project lifecycle, tracking expenditures, analysing deficiencies and implementing corrective actions to ensure budgetary constraints are followed.

  • Oversee changes to dry lining scope, specifications, and requirements, assessing the impact on project costs and schedules, and documenting changes through change orders and variations.

  • Negotiate change orders with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure fair and equitable resolution of cost-related issues.

  • Proactively address risks and issues to prevent cost overruns and delays.

  • Prepare comprehensive bid proposals & tender documents for dry lining projects in response to request for proposals and invitation to bids.

  • Oversee that the bids are submitted accurately and on time adhering to project requirements & specifications.

  • Dry Lining contractor background is an advantage.

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management or related field.

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Commercially aware.

  • Strong verbal & written communication and problem solving skills.

  • Proficiency in estimating softwares and tools.
