We are working with a leading engineering contractor delivering major data centre projects across Europe. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Authorised Person to join their on-site project team in Sweden.

This is a critical electrical safety role responsible for managing energisation, isolation, and safe systems of work across MV/LV/HV systems on a large-scale data centre project. You will act as a key duty holder for electrical safety, ensuring all switching, commissioning, and energisation activities are controlled, documented, and executed safely.

This role suits a highly experienced electrical safety professional with strong mission critical project experience and proven ability to operate in live energised environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as key Electrical AP and duty holder for site electrical safety
• Implement and manage Electrical Safe Systems of Work (ESSoW)
• Issue and control electrical permits to work (PTW)
• Develop and approve switching schedules and isolation plans
• Manage MV/LV/HV energisation and de-energisation activities
• Review SLDs, schematics, drawings, and electrical documentation
• Coordinate commissioning and energisation sequencing with project teams
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety rules and procedures
• Support FAT, SAT, and site testing activities
• Witness and validate pre-energisation and post-energisation testing
• Liaise with BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and EMS providers
• Coordinate with commissioning and specialist contractors
• Promote electrical safety culture across site operations
• Ensure all switching, tagging, and isolation procedures are correctly executed
• Provide technical input into energisation strategies and system logic

About You

• Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Trade qualification
• Formal Authorised Person (AP) certification (HV/LV)
• 5+ years’ experience in AP / electrical safety roles
• Strong data centre, industrial, or mission critical experience
• Experience with MV/LV/HV switching and energisation
• Strong understanding of electrical protection and system design
• Experience in live energised environments
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Strong attention to detail and safety-first mindset
