Commissioning Manager – Major Infrastructure Projects – Germany (German Speaking)
 

Our client, a leading international consultancy, is delivering complex and high-value infrastructure projects across Europe. With a strong pipeline of mission-critical facilities in Germany, they are expanding their client-side project team to support multiple sites throughout the region.
 

As part of this expansion, we are seeking an experienced Client-Side Commissioning Manager to take ownership of commissioning activities across several large-scale developments. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically advanced builds and requires regular travel across project locations in Germany.
 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full commissioning lifecycle from project initiation through to completion and handover
  • Coordinate commissioning strategy, schedules, and activities across multiple sites in Germany
  • Oversee testing and validation of key electrical systems, ensuring all installations meet project and regulatory standards
  • Work closely with design teams, contractors, and client stakeholders to drive timely and effective commissioning delivery
  • Develop and maintain commissioning documentation, including test scripts, inspection plans, and sign-off sheets
  • Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and implementation of corrective actions during system start-up
  • Represent the client’s interests in all commissioning-related meetings and activities on site

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commissioning management role
  • Proven experience in client-side commissioning within infrastructure, data centre, or industrial project environments
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems including LV/MV, UPS, standby generation, and controls
  • Excellent coordination, documentation, and communication skills
  • Capable of managing high-pressure environments and multiple concurrent site activities
  • Willing and able to travel regularly across Germany during project testing and commissioning phases
  • Fluent English required; German language skills advantageous
