Our client, a leading construction and engineering contractor, operating and delivering excellence all over Europe, is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Quantity Surveyor. As Electrical Quantity Surveyor you will manage all aspects of the financial and contractual elements of electrical installations including cost estimation, contract administration, and ensuring that projects are completed within the budget and meet the specified quality standards.  

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:  

  • Analyse and evaluate project cost data to provide accurate forecasts & develop comprehensive cost estimates for electrical work, including materials, labour, and equipment.  

  • Participate in commercial internal & external meetings and give updates on the relevant commercial status reports of the project.  

  • Prepare and manage contracts related to electrical work and administer contract changes, variations, and claims, ensuring proper documentation and approval.  

  • Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including contract conditions, bills of quantities, and subcontractor packages. 

  • Oversee the preparation and evaluation of commercial & subcontract packages, contributing to interim and final valuations. 

  • Monitor project expenditures, analyze cost reports, identify variances, and propose corrective actions. 

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.  

  • Significant experience in a similar role within electrical projects.  

  • Proven record of accomplishments in managing costs and contracts for electrical systems in construction/engineering projects.  

  • Good understanding of subcontractor relations and installations.   

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.  

  • Proficient in quantity surveying software and tools.  

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.  

  • Effective negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
