We are assisting a premier Engineering contractor known for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors operating across Ireland, Europe, and the UK in their search for an experienced BIM Engineer. As BIM Engineer you are responsible for developing and managing BIM to support the design, construction, and operation of projects by creating detailed 3D models, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring compliance with BIM standards and protocols. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

  • Generate and maintain detailed BIM models using software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. 

  • Ensure models are accurate, complete, and adhere to project specifications and standards. 

  • Update and manage BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, from design to construction and operation. 

  • Facilitate BIM coordination meetings to resolve design and construction issues. 

  • Coordinate with the project team to ensure that all project information is correctly reflected in the BIM models. 

  • Perform clash detection analysis on a constant basis or every 30 minutes. 

  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to BIM processes, standards, and protocols. 

  • Conduct regular quality checks and audits of BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance. 

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in BIM technologies and methodologies. 

  • Prepare regular reports on BIM progress, issues, and outcomes for project managers and stakeholders. 

  • Maintain effective communication channels to ensure all parties are informed of BIM-related updates and changes. 

  • Degree/qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. 

  • 3+ years’ experience in BIM coordination roles. 

  • Mechanical/electrical background is beneficial. 

  • Proficient in BIM software and tools. 

  • Strong understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices. 

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. 

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
