Mechanical Supervisor – Data Centre Project – Eskilstuna, Sweden
A leading European MEP contractor specialising in the delivery of large-scale data centre projects is seeking a skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join the on-site team in Eskilstuna, Sweden. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-profile mission-critical infrastructure build.
This role is ideal for an experienced supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by delivering complex mechanical systems to the highest standards. Applicants must hold a valid EU passport to be considered for this position
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day mechanical installation activities on-site, ensuring alignment with the project programme.
Liaise effectively with other trades to coordinate works and avoid conflicts.
Ensure all site operations meet safety and quality standards.
Conduct weekly toolbox talks and prepare detailed progress reports.
Develop two-week lookahead schedules in collaboration with the project team.
Monitor labour productivity and ensure subcontractor efficiency.
Supervise the delivery, storage, and handling of mechanical materials and equipment.
Ensure all mechanical plant and access equipment is certified and operational.
Report all variations, delays, or issues to the line manager in a timely manner.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a mechanical supervisory role within M&E or industrial construction.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems relevant to data centre environments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.
Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate with multiple disciplines on site.
Strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
Proficiency in site reporting, planning tools, and Microsoft Office.
EU passport is essential due to mobility and compliance requirements.
