A leading international contractor is delivering a major mission-critical data centre in Finland and is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead the mechanical delivery on site. This is a high-profile role, offering the chance to manage complex mechanical systems across a technically demanding project and ensure their safe, efficient, and high-quality installation.
As Mechanical Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical works, coordinating teams and subcontractors, and driving programme delivery while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.
You will manage the full scope of mechanical construction activities, including installation, commissioning, and handover of critical mechanical systems. Working closely with senior project management, engineers, and subcontractors, you will ensure mechanical works are delivered on time, within budget, and fully compliant with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage all mechanical construction works on a large-scale data centre project in Finland
• Oversee installation of MEP systems, HVAC, chilled water systems, pumps, and associated mechanical infrastructure
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate mechanical activities across multiple teams and subcontractors
• Ensure mechanical installations comply with design intent, specifications, and project milestones
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain programme and budget targets
• Drive a strong health & safety culture across all mechanical activities on site
• Coordinate with project management, engineering teams, and client representatives to resolve technical and sequencing challenges
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems
• Implement quality assurance procedures and ensure all installations meet required standards
• Prepare and maintain site documentation, progress reports, and mechanical records
• Support commercial teams with procurement, cost control, and change management
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager on large-scale or mission-critical construction projects
• Extensive technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, chilled water, pumps, and MEP installations
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising site teams and subcontractors
• Knowledge of European standards and construction regulations
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Data centre or mission-critical experience is highly desirable
