A leading international contractor is delivering a major data centre development in Finland and is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to support site operations on this high-profile, mission-critical project.
This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced environment where safety, precision, and quality are at the forefront of delivery. You will play a key role in driving best-in-class health & safety standards across a complex construction site, working alongside experienced project teams on a technically demanding scheme.
As Health & Safety Advisor, you will be embedded within the site team, acting as a key point of contact for all HSE matters. You will support the implementation of safety systems, promote a proactive safety culture, and ensure full compliance with both company procedures and local regulations.
You will be visible on site, engaging with operatives, supervisors, and management to ensure that safety is not only maintained but continuously improved.
• Support the implementation and ongoing development of the project Health & Safety management system
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks across all work areas
• Promote a positive safety culture through engagement, coaching, and behavioural safety initiatives
• Assist in the preparation and review of RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
• Ensure all site activities are compliant with local legislation and company standards
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings to site personnel
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to embed safe systems of work
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive best practice across the project
• Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, ideally on large-scale or mission-critical projects
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and site safety practices
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent)
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage at all levels on site
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high safety standards
• Experience on data centre or similar complex projects is advantageous
