Electrical Project Manager – Residential Development, Hackney
A respected M&E contractor known for delivering high-quality residential developments is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to support the delivery of a major project in Hackney. The role involves managing all electrical works, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely completion.
This permanent position offers the chance to lead on-site coordination and delivery, working closely with project teams and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, solid leadership skills, and a focus on safety and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in compliance with BS7671 and relevant standards.
Lead and coordinate a team of electricians and subcontractors, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.
Develop and maintain project schedules, order materials, and manage procurement processes to ensure timely delivery.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and address any issues promptly.
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and variation orders.
Enforce health and safety regulations on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager in the residential sector.
In-depth knowledge of BS7671 and relevant electrical standards.
SMSTS certification.
Black ECS card.
Proficiency with Fieldview and Asite.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
First Aid Certificate.
