Electrical Site Supervisor – Data Centre Project, Amsterdam
A leading M&E contractor specialising in mission-critical projects is seeking an Electrical Site Supervisor to join a long-term data centre project in Amsterdam. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work on high-value, technically complex builds with a strong pipeline of secured work across Europe.
The successful candidate will support site leadership in coordinating on-site activities, supervising electrical trade teams, and ensuring safe, high-quality delivery of electrical works. You will play a key role in driving performance, quality, and safety while supporting project delivery from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise site-based electrical teams, ensuring works are delivered to scope, on schedule, and to high safety and quality standards.
Coordinate with site management, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure efficient progress in your work area.
Maintain and report on daily progress, resource levels, material requirements, and quality issues.
Assist in planning site logistics and temporary setups, including temporary power and access arrangements.
Implement and monitor Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
Carry out regular quality audits, complete checklists, and close out snag lists in line with walkdown schedules.
Ensure installation is carried out using approved materials and to manufacturer specifications and drawings.
Enforce and lead on-site EHS procedures, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure RAMS and SPA compliance for all tasks.
Manage the safe use of plant, tools, and materials, and enforce housekeeping and exclusion zone standards.
Monitor deliveries, verify material compliance, and ensure proper storage procedures are followed.
Maintain documentation such as red-line drawings, daily records, and safety files.
Liaise with the Construction Manager to report issues, track personnel on-site, and support project meetings and reviews.
Mentor apprentices, assess trade performance, and maintain accurate personnel records.
Requirements:
Senior trade qualification or equivalent with 5+ years’ site-based experience, ideally in data centre or industrial projects.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and installation drawings.
Strong understanding of site coordination, logistics, and planning.
Track record in trade supervision and delivery on fast-paced, high-spec projects.
Solid understanding of material lead times, procurement support, and minor material requisitions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and motivating teams.
Proven ability to enforce high safety standards and lead by example.
Organised, detail-focused, and confident in maintaining site records.
Results-oriented with resilience to manage deadlines under pressure.
