Senior Authorised Person – Data Centre Programme Location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany A leading European engineering contractor delivering complex mission-critical infrastructure is seeking a Senior Authorised Person (Electrical) for a major data centre programme in Frankfurt. This is the lead electrical safety authority on site, accountable for enforcing the Electrical Safe System of Work (ESSoW) across HV/MV/LV systems and ensuring full compliance with German jurisdictional regulations.
The Senior Authorised Person (SAP) is responsible for implementing and managing electrical safety governance across live and new-build infrastructure. You will control energisation boundaries, approve switching plans, manage permit systems, and ensure safe commissioning and operational readiness of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical networks.

Key Responsibilities
• Implement and audit Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
• Manage the Electrical Safety Permit to Work (PTW) system
• Plan, draft, and approve HV/MV/LV switching schedules
• Enforce arc flash mitigation and PPE compliance
• Identify electrical hazards and implement corrective measures
• Act as primary electrical safety interface on the project
• Manage electrical safety communications including signage and notices
• Provide system status updates to project and commissioning teams
• Attend site, planning, engineering and handover meetings
• HV & LV Authorised Person certification within last 2 years
• 10–15 years’ experience on large-scale electrical infrastructure projects
• Strong HV/MV/LV switching and energisation experience
• Data centre, DNO/IDNO, grid or power generation background
• Proven commissioning and testing experience
• Strong knowledge of German electrical regulations (VDE compliant)
• Leadership experience managing subcontractors and high-risk activities
