Senior Quantity Surveyor

Data Centre Construction – Sweden 
Our client is an established engineering & construction main contractor delivering new build data centre schemes across Northern & Central Europe. This organisation provides a full turnkey solution, constructing these facilities from the initial design phase through groundworks, structural build, M&E installation, fit-out, and final handover. Company turnover is currently €1.3bn, with continued growth of 10%–15% year-on-year.

Due to continued expansion, the requirement now exists for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the project team delivering a €500m+ Data Centre in Sweden.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a critical role in leading the commercial management of significant work packages, ensuring robust cost control, contract administration, and financial governance throughout the project lifecycle. This position is pivotal in protecting project margin, managing risk exposure, and supporting the successful delivery of a complex, mission-critical environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with project directors, construction managers, procurement teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure all commercial activities are strategically managed and aligned with contractual and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
•    Lead the commercial management of major subcontract and trade packages
•    Oversee procurement strategy, tender analysis, and subcontract negotiations
•    Manage change control processes, including valuation and agreement of variations
•    Prepare and present detailed cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections
•    Administer main contract and subcontract obligations in line with contractual requirements
•    Assess and certify subcontractor applications and manage payment processes
•    Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
•    Support and mentor junior commercial staff within the project team
•    Lead final account negotiations and ensure timely commercial close-out
•    Liaise with client commercial representatives to manage valuations and claims
•    Contribute to dispute avoidance and resolution strategies where required
•    Ensure all commercial documentation and reporting is accurate and audit-ready
